Danish international football legends Martin Jorgensen and Flemming Povlsen who took part in winning the 1992 European Championships helped shovel snow at Vejlby Park for Monday's clash in the Danish Superliga between AGF and OB.

The two sides were originally scheduled to meet on Friday evening, but the match was called off on Friday afternoon due to heavy snow conditions in Aarhus.

Instead, the match was rescheduled for Monday evening. And with plenty of snow to be cleared out of the way in and around the stadium, AGF encouraged local fans to meet up and help to get conditions ready for Monday's match.

"The snow on the pitch has been removed, but there is still a lot of snow on the stands, which we need help to remove. We will, of course, provide both drinks and lunch for everyone who helps."

"Feel free to take a shovel with you. If you can only come later in the day, that is of course also perfectly fine", read the announcement on Facebook.

AGF Football Director Jacob Nielsen explained on Friday why the match ended up being postponed.

"The weather has been too drastic, so despite our preparations, we cannot get ready for the match, contrary to expectations. We are not least upset on behalf of our fans that we cannot start the spring season as we had been looking forward to."

"At the same time, we have experienced great support for the club from fans who have offered to come and help clean up. As a club, we appreciate that very much", said Nielsen.

AGF's postponed match against OB kicks off on Monday at 21:00 CET
