Fulham marked Marco Silva’s 200th game in charge with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, who are now without a win in their last six Premier League (PL) home games (D2, L4).

Spurs would have been wincing at the thought of another London derby after a 4-1 defeat to Arsenal last Sunday, and had good reason to given the nightmare start they suffered here.

Fulham scored twice in the opening six minutes, as Kenny Tete’s deflected strike gave Fulham the lead, before Harry Wilson ruthlessly punished an out-of-position Guglielmo Vicario with an outstanding, long-range left-footed finish from a tight angle.

It was the earliest that Tottenham had ever conceded two goals in a PL home match, and Samuel Chukwueze almost added a third moments later when his stinging left-footed strike rattled the post.

Thomas Frank’s side were in disarray at the back, with Pedro Porro having Micky van de Ven to thank for bailing him out of jail with a perfectly timed challenge in the box after the former’s lapse in concentration.

It typified a chastening first half for the hosts, while Silva would have been delighted by his side’s bold and purposeful approach heading into HT.

Tottenham desperately needed to return after the break with greater intensity, and there was reason for encouragement when Randal Kolo Muani’s header skimmed the side netting from Porro’s enticing delivery.

That served as a sign of what was to come, as Mohammed Kudus halved the deficit with a powerful left-footed strike that beat Bernd Leno at his near post.

Momentum had shifted firmly Tottenham's way, and Fulham's lead was looking increasingly precarious when Raúl Jiménez made a superb clearance off the line to keep out Lucas Bergvall’s header from Kudus’ corner.

Frank’s men kept pressing forward in pursuit of an equaliser, with Wilson Odobert and Kolo Muani both spurning further opportunities to wipe out the Cottagers’ lead.

However, an impressive defensive effort ensured Fulham held on to claim a first away league win of the season, extending their unbeaten H2H run to four games (W3, D1).

Meanwhile, a third consecutive defeat across all competitions for Spurs leaves Frank with plenty to ponder after a woeful month of November.
