Rosenior took charge of his first training session on Thursday and will make his touchline debut when Chelsea face Charlton in the FA Cup, marking the start of a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Despite the managerial change, Chelsea are anticipating a relatively quiet window. Sources predict the club could make one first-team signing if the right opportunity arises, but the primary focus is on player departures.
And Axel Disasi, Raheem Sterling and Tyrique George are three names likely to move on before the window closes.
West Ham United are currently weighing up a move for Disasi, with the defender seen as one of their alternatives should their pursuit of Charlie Cresswell fail to progress. But the player is being offered to a host of other clubs as well.
Sterling has been actively exploring the possibility of remaining in London. West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham have all registered varying levels of interest in the winger, though talks are at differing stages and no agreement has yet been reached. He would consider a move abroad, given the right terms.
Young forward Tyrique George is also likely to secure a move away this month. Agents have been working with Chelsea on potential options, with a number of clubs showing interest.
Given his age and profile, a deal is expected to be reasonably easy to find and they hope for it to be completed within the next fortnight rather than slope towards deadline day.

At the end of last year, while Enzo Maresca was in charge, there was an expectation that Chelsea could be more active in the market.
Maresca felt that a lack of depth at goalkeeper, centre-back and striker could ultimately cost the club a chance at silverware.
However, differences between the former head coach and the board over recruitment strategy eventually contributed to his departure, with Maresca feeling insufficiently supported and trusted. Chelsea, for their part, were reluctant to commit to significant recruitment at this stage.
While Rosenior has spent recent days assessing the squad and offering his own view on how it is shaping up for the second half of the season, the club see this as a period of transition behind the scenes rather than a moment for major changes on the pitch.
As a result, Chelsea’s approach for now is clear in that they are seeking limited further disruption, minimal incomings and a focus on trimming the squad where possible.
A good market opportunity would certainly be a bonus that could give everyone a lift, as Rosenior now kicks off his reign.
