Reigning champions PSV came away victorious from their visit to NAC Breda's Rat Verlegh Stadion, beating the hosts 1-0 in a closely contested provincial derby.

Even with Ricardo Pepi fit, PSV manager Peter Bosz handed Guus Til another start as the team's striker following an imperious three-goal performance in PSV's 5-1 win over AZ.

An extremely slow start from the reigning champions saw NAC create several chances before PSV even recorded a shot. Only Mohamed Nassoh's effort came close, however, after Bayer Leverkusen loanee Matej Kovar saved it.

PSV finally found the way to NAC's goal from the 27th minute and opened their offence from there, which resulted in the Eindhoven outfit taking the lead with a smart header from Guus Til.

With nothing from NAC's side for the next thirty minutes, the hosts took it upon themselves to try and force a difference in the final thirty minutes of the game. Charles-Andreas Brym, Nassoh, and captain Boy Kemper all tried to get NAC alongside PSV, but to no avail.

Without forming an actual threat following the break, PSV reeled in the win and three points to stay on top in the Eredivisie. The Eindhoven side will visit compatriot Arne Slot's Liverpool next, on Wednesday, November 26th, on matchday five of the UEFA Champions League.
