FC Porto is close to securing the signing of the young Norwegian midfielder Eirik Granaas, who is just 16 years old.

The Fredrikstad player is being linked with FC Porto by Foot Mercato, which even reports that the deal between FC Porto and the Norwegian club is already done.

The Dragons are set to pay €2.5 million up front, plus add-ons for the Norwegian talent.

Eirik Granaas, captain of the Under-16 Norwegian national team, made his debut for Fredrikstad's senior team at just 15 years old last season.

This season, he has scored eight goals and provided one assist for the Norwegian side. The midfielder's contract with Fredrikstad runs until December 2027, and he is valued at €830,000 by Flashscore.

Granaas is expected to join FC Porto’s B team in the initial phase but could quickly move into the first team, as assessed by coach Francesco Farioli during the next pre-season.
