The Buffalo Sabres took down the Philadelphia Flyers during the NHL's January 14th slate, improving to 14-2 in their last 16 games!

Sabres 5-2 Flyers

The Sabres managed to put five in net on just 14 shots all game. Rasmus Dahlin (6) scored a pair of power-play goals, while teammates Josh Doan and Tage Thompson both racked up two assists each, the latter of the two extending his point streak to five games and at least one assist in the last four.

Buffalo's Ryan McLeod also extended his point streak to five games after scoring the short-handed empty-netter for his 10th goal of the season to ice the game.

Jack Quinn (10) scored his third goal in the past three games for the Sabres. Defenceman Mattias Samuelsson scored his eighth of the season as his single-season career high continues to grow.

Trevor Zegras (18) and Owen Tippett (15) scored for Philly as they fell to 22-15-8, dropping their third straight.

Buffalo improved to 25-16-4, sitting in the top Wild Card spot and fourth in the Atlantic Division.

Senators 8-4 Rangers

Gabe Perreault's (3) two goals weren't enough for a Rangers team that was decimated by Ottawa's forecheck.

Ottawa scored six straight before the Rangers found the net, four in the first period alone, including Dylan Cozens (13) wrister with six seconds left.

Cozens finished with two assists on the night as well, joining Ridly Greig as they both finished the night with three points.

The Senators have now won back-to-back, but still sit at the bottom of the Atlantic Division with a 22-19-5 record.

New York dropped their fourth and also sit at the bottom of their Metro division at 20-22-6.

Devils 3-2 Kraken

Both Cody Glass (10) and Nico Hischier scored their third goal in the past three games in their win over the Kraken, which helped put the Devils up 2-1 in the second period.

But Seattle's Jared McCann (10) answered for Seattle to tie it up less than two minutes after Hischier gave New Jersey the lead.

After going through a scoreless third period, Hischier (14) would find the net once more in overtime to give the Devils back-to-back wins as they improved to 24-21-2.

Seattle dropped their third in the last four games after starting the new year off with four wins in a row, as they fell to 21-15-9.
